🤣 And what do you think, how long this will last? That's a little bit like, refueling your car half, and being happy about paying less! You take away the half of charge and the half of voltage. The charge doesn't really matter, but what actually happens is that as your the voltage decreases by using the remote, the battery won't be strong enough to use the rest of the remaining charge! In the end you pay more, because you have ti change your battery more often than twice the time, more like 3to4 times! Just do as provided! 😄

The way I see it is, yeah it's less power than the factory suggested, but it's good for when you are in a bind and you have the 'lesser' batteries at home. If you can't or don't want to leave home at the moment to replenish.

You know the little solar powered lights for gardens and walkways? Inside are usually AA rechargeable batteries. So you can cut the wires to the light and now you have a solar powered battery charger. Takes awhile but still free.

Rather than substituting button batteries, substitute either 14500 for AA, or for AAA, 10440 3.7 volt Li-Ion battery and use one of the dummy battery tip tricks, either the lead pencil or aluminum foil, for the other slot. Then you have a nice long lasting battery rechargeable get a decent charging system for your lithium ion batteries forget about worrying about keeping alkaline batteries for your remote, yes, you can recharge them with a special alkaline battery charger, but they'll eventually leak and damage your devices. Also, they don't have the power output or capacity of the Li-Ion.
Fred Smith
Fred Smith 11 күн бұрын
@Top C As long as alkaline batteries outsell lithium batteries even the failed recharge attempts make them much more economical. Use vinegar to clean leakage.
Top C
Top C 12 күн бұрын
@Fred Smith Of course, sure, I have used one for years. but they leak and make a mess inside the battery compartment. Besides, they don't hold a charge like the lithium battery does, or it's capacity and output. Tip: use baking soda, make a paste and use it to release the coating from leaking alkaline battery in your devices.

No imbalance in charge, the voltage remains the same. But the little batteries only contain about 1/6 of the charge of a full size AAA or AA battery and they drain that much quicker.

Those batteries are harder to find and usually more expensive than t AAA batteries and will last like 1/10 the time. Plus that sure is alot of trouble to go through to get a remote working. Between this or just using the buttons on the TV I will use the TV. But what I will actually do is go buy a 4pk of AAA batteries for a buck. Done problem solved

Hi! Didnt see anyone answer this question so I’ll take it upon myself. The answer is most likely YES! Batteries are rated in terms of Amp Hours which means how many amps can basically be pulls in an hour before depleting the battery. Generally with smaller batteries you have less amp hours. Of course there are some exceptions so it would really come down to the rating of the specific battery, but im betting it probably wont last as long.
Ryan the Mage
Ryan the Mage 15 күн бұрын
even less! 😅 because the voltage will decrease by useing the remote and if the voltage gets to low, the rest of the charge from the battery can't be used anymore because you need the the "pressure" to move the remaining electrons!

I have done your tricks 15 times and still nothing starts on my TV. Ok we saw it every time you do a cut scene and you start your TV. I believe after every cut scene, you place 2 batteries into the remote and start it, otherwise it never works. That's a very good way to achieve more viewers to your content. Thank you.
Dennis Becraft

It works. You probably got the battery polarity wrong or used dead batteries. The buttons must be stacked positive to negative and the negative side of the bottom one contacts the spring. Stuff the rest with whatever you have that will fit and wrap it in foil like he did. The pos. & neg. sides of the batteries are marked and the voltage is stamped on the neg. side too. Make sure they're both marked 1.5V. I once had an electronic camera flash unit that really ate batteries fast. I put dowel dummies in it and twisted wires around the shafts of the thumbtacks I stuck in the ends of the dowels that touched a neg & a pos contact. No need for foil because the dummies merely made contacts for the 2 wire cord that went to a lantern battery I kept in a fanny pack. I saved a lot of money because lantern batteries are far cheaper per watt hour than AAs.
