Nice. U should call it a "How to turn a gas lighter into a never needs refilling electronic lighter" though. Nice idea. I wonder where you figured out to get those small batteries from and the circuitry to make the wire - nichrome? - glow. Thx

Any common electronics store in your town will have them. You must have those stores somewhere because electricians need supplies. FYI all devices that are rechargeable have batteries. Maybe you have something old or broken you can open and take the battery from. Rechargeable and battery operated children’s toys at $1 stores have many electrical components inside that can be repurposed.

@SPASPAWIZ The extremely small size is the unique problem. I will actually look, but standard rechargeables are usualy 1650 size. Now that I asked, I "do" have a few old no longer used cell phones around and I bet that I might find one as small there. Good ideas to find some too, thx.

I can get all of those things free from electronics that get thrown away. More importantly having this field to do any of these kinds of projects will allow you to think outside the box when you need to replace something expensive or fix something on the spot instead of waiting around for a part. I work on cars instead of telling my customer it'll be 3 to 6 weeks for an ECU like every other shop I can say it's done come pick it up
