This is exactly the kind of video that benefitted from the removal of the dislike button. Literally no reason to do this, let alone an explanation of the supposed benefits vs, I dunno, just leaving it in the perfectly fine condition it was in before wasting all the parts and our time

I still don't get why you would go through cutting a peice of tin to glue it. When all you need to do is either remove the led and bridge the contacts with a soldering iron or a small peice of wire soldered to the contacts both are a much better permanent fix than this way.

Look, another electrical fire hazard 101 video teaching people to modify 110-220v electrical devices with pieces of metal jammed into the circuit path. Gee what could go wrong…

So basically, he made a homemade flashlight.

The extraneous middle portion, showing how to make a battery powered bulb with a large element, distracted from a perfectly good demonstration of how to isolate the burned out element of a standard bulb. The middle part should have been its own clip. This is what happens when a person wants to show off, rather than stay on point. If you ignore the middle part, you can see his point.

Question certified to what standard is the bulb now you have modified it. Cheaper to get a new bulb than carry out dubious modifications. If modified light bulb was cause of your house burning down I doubt insurance companies would pay out.

I'd rather just buy a new 💡 than spend the same amount of money on all the materials I'll need for this, then use the time I have leftover to do something meaningful.
