If you just beat a padlock with a hammer you'll eventually make the pins jump enough to make it open. I've done this a million times on shipping containers, don't ask.

Yes, any off brand padlock from China that sells for $1.49 Can be broken very easily. Even the small Master lock with the combination can be broken if you have tools. As they get bigger and stronger. Name brand padlocks become harder. Everything can be done if you try and have the tools.

That Master Lock doesn't need tools. Tension the shanks and spin all three wheels at the same time. It's really fast once you get the hang of it.

Have any of you people used or owned a grinder? I had to purchase one in order to do some work on my chimney. I needed to remove cement in between the bricks. That thing was an animal ! It was able to basically cut through anything depending on what wheel was installed. I remember seeing fireman used gas powered grinders in order to get inside storefronts. That had solid Gates to get inside, they would be able to cut through the gate like butter, I think that would open up any lock you wanted.

How is this without the key? You took the impressions with the existing key. And the amount of effort you put in with all the instrumentation it's better to get a second key made from a locksmith.

Pretty sure everything about this is with a key. Hahaha I should make a video that says how to open a lock without a key too. You watch me drive 45 mins round trip to take the original key to go and pay for a copy of the key. By this videos standards I just also picked the lock. 🤣😆👌

Well, you need a key, for the first one. And... That combination lock, is a Master Lock. You don't need a paperclip to open it. If you as much as stare to it, it opens. I mean, if you stare at the paperclip the Masterlock will open.

That last Brass Combination Master lock is WAY easier to open! No tools needed. Just apply upward tension on the shank and spin all three wheels at once as fast as you can. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it they drop almost instantly!

Genius! When I was a teenager, before I ever became an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician, I was a locksmith. To this day, there isn’t a lock I cannot pick! But these are GREAT shortcuts that will help save time! However did you come up with these ideas?!

My neighbors asked me to open their shed that had a big padlock on it. All I did was use a drill. I drilled out where the key would go starting out with a small bit and getting bigger until everything just fell apart.

How to pick a lock? Go to the store and ask the clerk with one is appropriate for your purpose.

Why are you even bothering at this point? You talk about opening a lock without a key, then spend more time using the key for the lock to clone the key so you have 2 keys than you would have needed to cut some shims out of a soda can, which doesn't require conveniently having the key for the padlock on hand. You know you could have saved yourself a heap of time and effort by simply using the existing key to unlock it right?

Hmmm - very crafty, especially the non-destructive methods - I knew about the solution using shims because I saw it being used on the Locking-Picking Lawyer channel, but I thought that the combo lock picking was really smart - never seen that before... 🤔

The drilling part made little sense. I understand that it work but if you really need to get that padlock open then it is highly unlikely that it can be moved to a vise. That means drilling wherever the lock is almost certainly needing a hand held drilling machine. That is doable but you probably want to try another method first, especially if the lock is out of doors. Now imagine doing that a cold winter day...

I have to give credit to the combo lock job, that’s a good one. But the first one you did have a key to duplicate? So you really didn’t truly open it without a key. You made another one with the first real key.

You're using the two wrench method wrong. The Lockpicking Lawyer has a video about that and how to use the wrenches for maximum efficiency. It works in your case because the padlock is so weak, but with a strong padlock you'll simply fail.

If you own a drill and a bit that can go through metal you can open most locks. When it comes to the tougher ones you will need a grinder. If you don't want to buy one you can always rent one. I had to open up many locks in my day without the key for myself and for friends. I prefer to do things myself when I can. Locksmiths overcharge for many easy tasks especially if they need to come to your house.

But you do have a key. This is very misleading. This should be called "How to duplicate a key" because opening a lock without one requires, bolt cutters, a pick or a sledge hammer.
